Radio Original 106 FM is a self-reliant radio station; it used to operate under CanWest company media early on. The radio station became audible on the 28th of October 2007 after it was granted the broadcasting permit. Upon the launching of the station, the first song played was by The Beatles, Revolution. The radio station is not focused on one genre of music; it plays a variety of albums ranging from 1960 to date. The kind of music played includes and is not limited to the soul, R&B, pop, rock, blues, and adult eclectic.
