BBC Radio 1
BBC Radio 1 is a British broadcasting company that was founded in September 1967. It is the flagship radio station for UK's most populous genre, pop music. On air since 1964 as "BBC Radio One", current presenters include Nick Grimshaw, Greg James, and Annie Mac. It offers news, weather & travel updates around the clock. The station reaches out to almost all of the UK population on digital radio, online and mobile technologies. BBC Radio 1's sister station BBC Radio 1Xtra was launched in 2002. BBC Radio 1 has won numerous awards, including the UK Station of The Year at the 2008 and 2009 Arqiva Commercial Radio Awards.
Nick Grimshaw is the current presenter for BBC Radio 1 Breakfast Show, which broadcasts live from 6:30 am until 10:00 am, Monday to Friday. Greg James is the host of "The Radio 1 Drivetime Show", which is on air from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm, Monday to Friday. Scott Mills hosts "The Radio 1 Chart Show" from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Saturdays. The single most played artist on Radio 1 was Elvis Presley, with 121 different tracks between 1967 and 2006.
