Downtown Radio

Downtown Radio was the number one commercial radio station in 1976 in Northern Ireland. The radio introduced its sister station (Cool FM) in 1990, which was made for the newer listeners, and it had contemporary hot music. In 2015 Downtown Country sister station was launched, targeting the audience who loves country music. Bauer Radio Ltd owns the station, and it participates in the fleet of Planet Radio station and its portion of Bauer‘s Hits Radio Network. The broadcaster provides a mature playlist in which it sums up the top melodic music beginning from the time when the station began to the millennium, combined with some new tuneful ones.

The Downtown radio station offers Northern Ireland news and weather updates. It also has diverse talk shows. The station beatifies the weekdays morning of Northern Ireland with breakfast shows Gary and Glen being the hosts from 6 am up to 10 am. It also runs competition programs continuously, giving the listeners chances to win money and various prizes.
